I grew up with cerebral palsy, and I've always been drawn to the places where one person's story meets the bigger stories of culture, health, and faith. That's where I do my work: in picture books that let disabled kids see themselves, in honest writing about love and dating, and in a congregation outside Philadelphia where we try to make room for everyone at the table.
I'm passionate about bringing untold stories to light, mining ancient narratives for contemporary wisdom, and fighting loneliness in all its forms.
I live with my husband and son outside Philadelphia.
